Ever seen a monkey swim? Well, now you can say you have. We celebrated Memorial Day weekend by the pool with some good barbecue in between thunderstorms. After a little convincing, Dash allowed Mason to wear his new swim 'costume' with ears and all for his first swim. At least his precious bald head was protected!

Happy 3 month birthday Mason!
We can't believe you are 3 months already buddy! You amaze us everyday and it so much fun watching you learn. You get so proud of yourself when you stand up with our help and and smile so big when playing with daddy. I can't believe you are starting to hold things and pick up things by yourself; it seems like just yesterday you were just coming home for the first time. Keep smiling Mason because it makes us melt with love for you! We love you little man!

12 week happenings
Big changes this week! I'm back at work full-time, my mom has started watching Mason during the day and Mason is 12 weeks old! Here are some precious pictures of our little boy from the past couple of weeks.
Mother's Day
My first Mother's Day was great! The Thursday night before, Dash took me out for dinner for Wive's Day while G and Grandpa babysat Mason. We ate at Fish City Grill and had delicious pie at Ooh La La Dessert Boutique. We started celebrating Wive's Day the first year of our marriage and now it is extra meaningful to steal away for a night and spend time just as a couple.
We had decided to dedicate Mason at our church on my first Mother's Day so Sunday was very special. Mason's Nanny and Papa (my mom and dad), G and Grandpa (Dash's parents), Mimi, Sammie, Aunt Sterling and her friend Katie, Nancy, and Great Granny and Grandpa Connell all made it to our church to be there as we took an oath as parents and our congregation took an oath as well. Mason performed (fussed) on stage for everyone so that was fun!

The party started afterwards at Nanny and Papa's house! We had barbecue and Mason fell asleep at his own party! It is still surreal that I am a mom, that I have been a mom for almost 3 months now. My son has stolen so much of my heart and I can't wait to celebrate being his mama for many years to come.

Today was my practice run to see how my mornings will go when I start back on May 12th. It went really well and luckily Dash was able to take 1/2 of today off for some father-son time. We are busy getting Nanny Daycare (my mom's house) ready for when I go back to work and my mom is thrilled to get to take care of her first grandbaby. We are so grateful that she is willing and able to help us out.
This next week Mason gets to meet his Cousin Nico and Aunt Courtney from Fort Worth. I'm very excited because Courtney and I were pregnant together and now have the exciting task of raising our sons together. I enjoy hearing all about Nico's development, knowing my baby is right behind him. See you soon Nico and Court!
