Busy Bees

This next month is going to be a whirlwind for us. In three weeks, Shae's work is having the 2nd annual Tool Box Bash, to raise enough funds to build at least one house for a low income family in 2007. Last year was our first year to hold the Tool Box Bash - as I was tasked with creating the organization's first signature annual event. We learned from our mistakes and successes and the 2007 Tool Box Bash promises to be great - and as always, a lot of work. Special events bring in the lowest dollar raised for dollar spent ratio, but people love them and drama thrives on them. In 2006, we built the house below from the proceeds raised for a family of 8.

On top of Habitat's biggest event of the year, our church's Student Ministry, which we are very involved with, is having the biggest retreat weekend of the year at the end of February. It is going to be a blast, with both of us serving as small group leaders in host homes. Add to that helping with decorations, drama videos, and helping lead the ER (Events and Retreats Team), we have our plates full.

Pray for us as we enter this whirlwind of stress and excitement. Apologies in advance for the slim pickins on our blog.
